2 Gemini Nods – Aug 26/08
Well, it’s a total redux from last year…..just received 2 Gemini Award nominations for my work for the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. The 2 nods are in the same category …Â Best Performance in a Variety Program. One was for my arrangement of Oscar Peterson’s “Hymn to Freedom” with Dione Taylor and the Faith Chorale, and the other was for my arrangement of “Ain’t Nobody Here But Us Chickens” for Emilie-Claire Barlow.
On another note, in September I will be working on the new Anthem Challenge for Hockey Night in Canada. I’ll be working with famed producer Bob Rock ( Metallica…. ) to produce the top tracks. This will all culminate in a one hour TV show where the public will get to vote for the winner. Seems there are already over 5000 submissions.
